I’m a core faculty at the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I am affiliated with Moving Image, Media, and Sound, the Department of Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature and the Interdisciplinary Center for the Study of Global Change.
At the University of Minnesota, I regularly offer undergraduate-level courses, namely, Southeast Asian Cinema and Graphic Novels: Conflicts, Peace, and Protest. In the past, I offered graduate-level seminars on topics ranging from political cinema to media ecology and the Global South. In Fall 2024, I’m offering a new seminar topic: Theory/Praxis/Politics: The Making of Asian Cinema.
If you are interested in any of my courses, please contact me via email.
